Private Lessons & Chamber Music
Private weekly lessons of various lengths in combination with frequent open workshops and recitals are offered for piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, flute, and several other wind instruments. Students receive one-on-one instruction by our outstanding faculty, and are given opportunities to perform frequently in a supportive environment. NYSSMA preparation is encouraged when appropriate. All students perform in workshops as well as in a yearly recital, and many additional performance opportunities exist for advanced players. In addition, students may request to participate in a chamber group once they reach an appropriate level. Various chamber music configurations are formed with students of similar abilities such as string quartets, piano trios, etc. Chamber music ensembles receive an additional weekly coaching from our distinguished faculty, as well as frequent opportunities to perform in workshops, recitals and local community events. Groups may perform for workshop guest artists who have included some of the leading chamber musicians in the New York Metropolitan area.
